Ahmed Moustafa: Some that caught my eye in the Arab media these days of issues

January 11, 2012

My Own Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2012

Yemen: the system of burned  insisting on the inclusion of articles and the support of the disgrace and shame initiative that called “Gulf initiative” in respect of not to prosecute him and his family members and men of his regime legally – so enter and leave the country and control indirectly and his family on the reins of power in Yemen after his leaving office – but I want to mention whether the burned, any system committed the murders – the Bahraini – the Syrian regime – ousted suspect being held Mubarak – any of the members of the military council – any member of the police involvement in any murder, even if promulgated in all agreements with internal protection and not prosecution – the texts of fundamental rights, international human rights and international law, which is the largest of any internal laws recognize the prosecution and trial and punishment of any who committed these crimes – did not silence the jurists, activists, journalists and people of conscience and free pens for remembering, therefore these crimes will never be “time-barred”.

France: We heard yesterday or before yesterday, Sarkozy and the French system would object if sentenced to Mubarak – and his men – the crime of death – claiming that France against the crime of death – the question here, and although he was a friend of Ben Ali and a friend of Libyan leader Gaddafi – did not object to overkill which happened to the last resort, for example – so why interfere in our internal affairs – and why not ask him to, for example an apology for the crimes of France in Algeria and the assassination of one million over the 150 years of occupation and unjust destruction – as well as repression, which was practiced when he was a repressor of freedoms and killing many of the immigrants from Arab and Muslim countries as well as Africans when he was the interior minister in France before electing him president of France in 2007.

America: as well as the claim of the Americans they will try to reform the Egyptian economy – and freedoms in Egypt – in spite of sabotage systematically done by the International Monetary Fund – and the World Bank, its programs – despite that both both are corrupted – and even testimony of former employees – because even the appointment of the Board of Directors in the two organizations, which controls all the time the Americans, entered into by each of the arms and oil lobbies that America control – how can we ensure the reform of the Egyptian economy – after a failed privatization programs after exporting bad privatization programs deteriorated the industrial wealth in Egypt and let it to fall and perish.

One thing interesting that America itself – suffers from big economic recession since 2007 and used the media – so that went into this scandal, economic – and then discovered the American people the same scandal – as a result of what happened to them from the unemployment and the expulsion of the homes and the inability to pay premiums – which the majority of Americans suffering from it now with the absence of a respected programs of support and health and social care – those are the sins of capitalist systems, which are still in this state, represented by its irrational to defend specific interests – and especially the interests of the Zionists.

As well as being a living off the funds of the Arab Gulf – especially Saudi Arabia as hologons since 2008 – which led to the vulnerable young American revolutions Arab spring – and turned it in the opposition movements and large-occupied Wall Street, and restore the rights of American citizens the helpless, who lived all his life paid the bills and premiums – and this is what America exported to us, unfortunately, and you can see this in the rest of the world – to become the owners of the business of fudals in a contemporary manner- and shift staff to slaves, but in a respectful manner – with the non-observance of labor laws in most parts of the world.

Why is this generosity of the U.S. non-unusual, and how will they finance our programs – and they do not have money when we became closer partnership with Turkey, Iran, China and Russia – which I think it is better for us because it forces a new – and always these countries look to Egypt as a rib supplementing these new powers to the availability of each requirements and resources of these forces in Egypt.

What should we do against what USA has done in UNESCO?

October 31, 2011

A major blow on the face of America and Israel today after accepting the State of Palestine by the Organization of Education, Science and Culture “UNESCO” concerning the decision issued by the General Assembly thereto and the culmination of the efforts undertaken by the Palestinian Authority, after the failure in the vote of the Security Council at the United Nations last month, in September 2011 in this regard.

In spite of the distorted image of America in the world and certainly Israel is more of it, lying continuous and the last of which lie represented in the special involvement of Iran without any evidence of the attempted assassination of the ambassador to Saudi Arabia as a story fabricated has no basis in truth and try to undermine confidence and discord in the Muslim and Arab world – and it was stated that the United States and stupidly confided it would cut the annual financial participation for this organization, which is estimated at $ 70 million, as well as Israel, which originally rejected the draft resolution.

What should we do:

1 – America is living on the money of the Arabs now, especially after the 4 trillion dollars taken from the Gulf States in 2008 as a form of bullying, as well as arms deals, which signed with Arab countries and access to billions annually, as well as U.S. bases and it must be on the Arab and Islamic states to refrain from any assistance or Due to America as a counter measure that should be taken from all Arab countries as well as refrain from purchasing any U.S. goods in the market.

2- The imposition of entry visas to Americans in all Arab and Islamic countries and not allowing them to obtain work permits and expel them also from the premises of their work as a countermeasure, as well as the not supplying any protection of places of their embassies in all Arab and Islamic countries.

3 – And the mobilization of Arab and Islamic youth and networking with their counterparts from the protestors in America to show the seriousness of what America is doing and how they cause tarnish the image of the American people the taxpayer to the world.

4 – The vote of each Arab youth as proposed and to suggest further economic sanctions on America.

Netanyahu’s speech at AG in UN was really a brief of 20 years of Israeli fake and lying as always

September 24, 2011

I don’t know what really can I comment on such serpentine speech of Netanyahu yesterday at the AG of the UN, he started by attacking Palestinians as they really refuse the peace and hate peace process, when he requested from Abbas the head of the Palestinian Authority, to resume the peace negotiations again after 20 years of infeasible negotiations (loss of efforts, time and money and sort of business) since the Spanish one in 1991.

Netanyahu described the United Nations as a dark room and always its resolutions not in his state’s favor, when USA is always using its veto to stop any resolution not in the favor of Israel, in addition to a double standard to deal with all the Arab cases since UN being established and so far by Obama.

He was talking that Israel incurred and charged a lot, when it presents a lot for Palestinians and finally harvested the Iranian Evil and the Nuclear Weapon of Iran to the contrary as he assumed, when his homeland includes about 200 nuclear heads addressed to all the Arab surrounding states and has two nuclear reactors, if really want peace it has to yield to the annual survey of IAEA as such matter has been requested several times in its annual meeting, when Israel and USA always abstain, so why Israel wants to interfere in the Iranian sovereignty and not having a reactor to be used in scientific research.

Then he threatened again that if Israel is attacked by anyone as a lack of peace and intolerance from neighbor countries, not only Israel who shall defend itself, but also all the international involved powers will support and defend its existence, as his country is the occupied territories not the Palestinian one, and then he forgot what they had done since 1948, 1967, Sabra and Shatila in Lebanon 1982, Massacre of Qana 1996, stealing the heritage of Iraq, July 2006 War and finally Gaza War in the end of 2008, and all such violations is meaningless for Israel and the world may not forget it so easy.

Netanyahu was talking about the soldier Shalit the prisoner in Palestine, however he forgot all the children kidnapped and arrested at the Israeli’s prisons without any reason to the contrary the massacres in Palestine throughout the years of occupation, using deprived phosphorus weapons and others to kill innocent Palestinians and Lebanese, in addition to usurping the farms and the arable land of the Palestinians to build colonies for the colonizers over the past 20 years of unsuccessful negotiations, when Netanyahu lied and said that we froze establishing colonies over 10 months and after US pressures, however they were building it.

Also, he lied when he mentioned that the new Palestinian state will never allow to any Jew to be existed as a Muslim state, when Islam oblige us to protect all the people even if he is not a follower of heavens religions, but the most important thing we as a reader and follower of the Israeli political affair, Is Israel a secularist state respecting the codes of the human rights? Or a religious Jewish state dismisses all other religions followers from it? Or the matter of religion is being highlighted according to the interest as a card?

Also, he was talking about the victims of 9/11, when several writers refuted all the illusions made by the Zionist media about such fabricated event to justify attack some states based on the matter of fighting terrorism that had been grown by USA, Israel and West itself, not by us in this regard, therefore, I am inviting you to read the evidencing book of the French neutral writer and publisher Thierry Meyssan: “http://www.effroyable-imposture.net/sommaire-en.php

Arab Reform Forum 2010

As always, we have to dedicate our deepest regards to Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BibAlex), as one of the biggest bacons of the freed of expression here in the Arab World for the annual and regular adoption of both Arab Youth Forum represented in (Arab Youth Economic Empowerment Forum) and Arab Reform Forum represented in (A New World Is Being Shaped, Where/What is the Arab’s Role?) in spite of the global financial crisis that extended to all the parts of the world.

Frankly speaking, this time BibAlex tried to get out of general topics as the last 4 youth forum sessions and according to a poll on the website, the youth selected the economic challenges that facing them now-a-days and later on, and as mentioned the last year after 5 years specifically in 2015 at least 100 million job vacancies have to be created and offered for the Arab youth. Hence, we have to re-thank BibAlex for tackling such topic this year.

Also, the Arab youth existence was evident especially in both 2009 and 2010, such matter enlarged the base of the beneficiaries of the Arab youth and this is again a good effort exerted by the organization staff of BibAlex Headed by a Lady called “Heba El-Rafey” and her assistant Ms. Esraa Adlan and the whole assisting staff in respect of arranging everything for the participants especially the logistical part.

However, there were some sort of points I witnessed in such Forum has to be reformed the next times as follows:

1-      In spite of inviting several Arab delegates from all regions of the Arab world, the national council of youth sending many people seen continuously over the past 4 years, not only that, they had presentations over the past 4 years at the same forum. In spite of the topic is different and specialized, therefore the presenter had to be according to such criteria, but the same people I am referring whom I saw over the last 4 years and so far failed to present profound presentations as I expected, accordingly their presentations as they are not specialist in this regard were superficial and very general.

2-      Please be reminded that the last year Coca Cola and Sawieres Foundation sponsored the forum, therefore, in my point of view, as I am a socio-economist, there was no problem in matter of funding as it needs more PR efforts and I think any sponsor shall never be hesitated for sponsoring the forum as it is supposed a good promotion for his product (GTZ was able and ready to sponsor this important forum).

3-      It was important to hear something about the Role of our banks and the Union of Arab banks in financing youth projects (small and micro business) instead of accumulation of money in it, and instead of catastrophic real estate credits that ruined their liquidity. Please be reminded that we had a brilliant experience in this regard at the beginning of 20th century under the directions of Talaat Harb Pasha and the Role of Banque Misr in this regard, and how such bank financed giant projects like Mahalla Spinning Company, the Egyptian Cinema and the Egyptian Stock Market and how Japan later on inspired and applied an idea like it represented in Zaubatsi Group and German Group Models that extracted a global giant companies e.g. “Mitsubishi, Toyota, Toshiba and others”.

4-      Also, it was important to hear something about the lack of scientific research, the funds thereto, the specialist research centers and for sure the absence of Academic Freedom in our universities which is considered as one of the biggest challenges in our Arab world that hinder the circulation of the development in our Area. (the more scientific research you present, the more economic revenue you get).

5-      Furthermore, Nobody talked about the prospected crisis of energy and scarcity of water from youth presenter as they came from a different planet and the urgent necessity to erect at least 3 Nuclear Power Plants in Egypt to face such disaster in the future for supplying energy and to desalinate the seawater for sustainable development projects and how much Nuclear Power Plants are important for the majority of the Arab world as they are in need of such plants, and why we did not meet a delegation of Iran (regional and Muslim country) who achieved a revolution in such filed better than the others in such field in the area (Please note that Dr. Ismail Serag Eldin referred to that in his Plenary session of Arab Reform Forum).

6-      In addition, we were badly in need of meeting a delegation of Turkey representing the governing party (Justice and Development Party) explaining us how they fight corruption in their country that damaging our Arab societies and the mechanism they used in that regard and how the economy of Turkey became as better than the economy of Eastern and Middle European Countries and of course their agronomic projects that exploit high density of labour.

7-      I noticed that many of the young people were amazed of Obama election campaign and his promotional slogan (Yes, We Can) as a comment on the speech/Article of Martin Luther King in 1963 (I have a Dream), however USA is not anymore the western dream as it ruined not only its economy but the global economy in unjustified wars bled at least 11 Trillion US$, and Obama till now cannot bear the economic loss and deficit “the heavy burden” left by his precedent “the war criminal” George W. Bush. However, in spite of such deficit, he sent 30000 US soldiers to fight Taliban in Afghanistan, and I am wondering, who pay such bill of sending those soldiers in that number which can be increased according to his speech? And why could not he solve his very severe crises occurred to his country represented in the health insurance and unemployment that reached about 10% in USA? We heard recently in media that the US government shall inspire some health care solutions from “Cuba” that has no crises in this regard. Please be advised that USA classified Cuba as a blacklisted country.

8-      The last point in respect of AYF I heard from some of the presenters that governments are not responsible any more for running the country business, whereas the individuals can do such business according to the mechanism of the liberal and free markets. However, may such speakers addressed the right speech to the improper audience, because they thought that they are talking at Davos Forum in Switzerland, and not at BibAlex to Arab audience their governments and regimes still controlling over everything in their societies. In addition, even in developed countries when the government cannot handle its duties, it resigns and better government shall govern in lieu of it. I think the speakers who promoted that forgot, when they would not have to forget, that the role of the government is to regulate and execute the laws that regulating all state’s affairs, whereas economy and the welfare of the citizens is considered as its most important duty.

In respect of the Arab Reform Forum, I noticed the following:

1-      Some voices I met represented in some Arabs affected/contaminated by the stereotyped mistaken western media and started to ascertain that Arabs and Muslims are the source of the terrorism. The reasons of such problem are two kinds of persons, the first one represented in some intellects who are corrupted by the west and promoting for their plans in the area and supporting them to disseminate their mistaken stereotyped ideas about us and about our culture and we call them “mercenaries”.

However, the second type represented in that most of the people whether from elder or youth generations who are building their own ideas and point of views not from reading, books or scientific research (please see what I wrote here above in respect of the absence of the academic freedom in our Arab universities) and obtaining their knowledge and information from only Media and Internet and this is a catastrophe (that case remind me by what Naguib Mahfouz wrote in his extraordinary novel “Drift on the Nile or Tharthara Fouq El-Nil” the Lost Generation, No Culture, No Science).

Such matter shall lead me to the lecture of Dr. Ismail Serag Eldin about Digitalization when he talked about the current importance of the internet and the UNL (United Nations Language “Software”) and at that session, I made a comment just to remind the audience that both internet and UNL are the fruit of the human effort who add the content thereto. Not only that but also, I tried to remind the people that internet is assisting in scientific research and representing a secondary element of it, whereas books, scientific periodicals, documentaries, microfilm and microfiche still representing the primary elements of scientific research. Therefore, according to the above mentioned I was not surprised to find, at the adjacent Book Fair of Alexandria, that the majority of the Arab books are only divided to “religious and translated books” and this is to justify why the Arab intellectual productivity market share is only (0.5%).

All the above introduction shall lead me to the point I highlight, that if we follow up the modern history of the civilized West/Occident, we shall find it full of Colonization, injustice, nuclear armament and demolition whereas we were always the prey of them. When we shift to the contemporary history according to the current situation “One Polar Super Power” represented in USA and what Strauss (One of the well-know American Radical Thinkers) wrote in 1960s, then what his followers/students Fukoyama, Huntington and Condoleezza Rice wrote in 1990s in respect of the clash of civilization and the Danger of Islam, and then the unjustified anticipated wars occurred by USA especially in our Area since Iraq Invasion War 2003, July War against Lebanon 2006 and then Israeli War Against Gaza the end of 2008 the wars that made the world incurred more than (US$ 11 Trillion).

Also, when USA adopted all the Muslim fanatic persons and regimes from 1970s till 1990s for its international interests and made itself as a person who grow a baby Cobra or Rattle Snack, consequentially, such person became the first bitten, therefore, I want ask USA some questions: Who adopted Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda? Who supported the Iranian Islamic Revolution by Khomeini against the Shah (Mohamed Reza Pahlavi)? And then who convinced Iraq to Attack Iran by the end of 1970s? Who created Guantanamo, Abu Ghoreib and Tura Pora Arrests and who practiced Cata-torture there against innocent people? I just want to remind USA that now-a-days they harvesting what they had grown 40 years before.

Thus, Arabs are not liable for just undetermined terminology that called “Terrorism” and the West or the Occident have to accuse and judge themselves first before accusing and judging us in this regard.

2-      The second point represented in the role of the current media in occurring disputes between the Arab countries, first of all, we have to admit that we were suffering from censorship, but according to the good investment in the field of Media since 1990s and so far, most of the well known Arab business men were in hurry to open new satellite channels, of course not the most of them are presenting good content that we want, however, this is the nature of life “the diversity” and we should accept it. However, we miss in everything we do, here in the Arab world, the right preparation and feasibility of any project, and we focus only on the financial profits represented in the quantity of commercials achieved and sponsors in this field, the matter that only based on the Private Relations in between the channel’s owner or director or presenter with the sponsor or with a big advertising and publicity company.

Explicitly, I saw that both the panel and the people who made comments or interventions were out of topic and started to talk in personal superficial out of topic matters that would never benefit the audience, and I do not want to give names, because the readers or the interested people shall be surprised in this regard. However, I had to highlight it and in order to give your goodselves a very small model in respect of how we fail to discuss such topics, therefore, I cannot imagine how our regimes discuss draft laws or legislations accordingly.

Frankly speaking, we forgot the real message of the media represented in showing the truth before the viewers based on objectivity and neutrality, in addition to raising the awareness among the people. In my point of view, the most important thing that should be done is how to prepare the people who are working currently in media, how to select the new people who shall work in this field according to the challenges that facing the traditional means of media as Newspapers, Radio and TV and the broader appearance and existence of e-media. Not only that but also, how to accept the new types of media people as bloggers and citizen journalists.

Whereas such preparation shall never be effective due to imposing regulatory laws, but through sustainable training in disseminating the codes of press and how to make the people of media thinking creatively and offering alternatives.

3-      There is a last point I have to refer, represented in the credibility of international organization in respect of occurring development in our societies.

Without any doubt USA still controlling over most of the international organizations worldwide especially UN and subsidiary institutions especially the World Bank (WB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF), in addition to some programs like United Nations Development Program (UNDP) who are responsible for creating and carrying out economic reform plans for both developing and under developing countries whereby our area is belonging to.

However, USA not anymore the economic model that should be followed according to their economic deficit and default to repair the bankruptcy of several giant industrial and financial groups and banks (e.g. Leman Broz, City Group, General Motors etc…) resulted by the uncontrolled credit system, the big corruption that occurred especially at the time of G.W. Bush in such sectors, in addition to the extreme liberal economic system that based on pragmatism without the appropriate existence of ethics and codes of social orientation.

US economic system made some countries declaring its insolvency and bankruptcy, whereas the severe example in this regard was Iceland in 2008. Moreover, Greece 2010 as a result of adhering their economic systems to the American one, not only that but also, most of the programs or plans for development imposed on both developing and under developing states by whether WB or IMF were infeasible, inapplicable and inconsistent with socio-economic circumstances of those states and one of those states of course is Egypt.

As long as WB imposed a privatization plan on Egypt, the results of such program ruined the Egyptian ordinary people who represent 95% of the population, hence, right now Egyptians according to such privatization are having no assets in their home country. In addition, nobody at the government can give you a justified detailed answer in respect of the money they collected according to sale deals, how did they spend it? And why WB did not propose a parallel developing plan for such alleged loser insolvent Public Sector companies instead of ad-hoc sale thereof?

WB imposed to lift the governmental subsidies in addition to leave the everything occurred to the free market mechanism without imposing a mechanism of control over this market, accordingly, the consequences were making the rich people richer and the poor people poorer whereas such phenomenon is very evident not just in Egypt but in all of MENA region. (Even Euro-Med Partnership faced the same destiny)

The reports that issued each year about the economic growth showing contradicted results sometime alleging that Egypt is running in the right track of economic reform and achieved a reputable growth (such assumed growth is intangible and I do not know Why?), sometimes not, however we notice that when we adopt the World Economic Forum (Rich People Summit) here in Sharm El-Sheikh and spending about (EGP 100 Million) each time they issue good reports about us!!!!!!!!!.

However, a respected organization like Transparency one showing annual logical figures ascertaining that our area including Egypt still near to the bottom of their Classification/List. Furthermore, our universities still away from being in the best 500 universities worldwide including American Universities existing here, in addition to Cairo and Alexandria Universities (Also the quality of life).

Accordingly, I wonder why Americans handing over the Board of Directors (B.O.D) of such institutions whereas they were unable to solve their domestic severe economic crises? Why not new strong promising economies as China, Brazil, India, Asian Tigers and Turkey having bigger quotas in the quorum of (B.O.D) of such institutes? Why the developing countries also did not obtain the appropriate representation quota in such (B.O.D) of those institutes?

World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Security Council have to be reformed according to the global hurricane of change that taking place worldwide now, because they are not credible and not able anymore to lead the world solely. However, we have to claim and push big countries to yield to our requests and such pressures shall never be existed without Arab-Arab Alliance, Arab-Afro Alliance and South-South Alliance and cooperation.

Please be guided accordingly.

the First and Permanent Forum of Arab-Afro Dialogue on Democracy and Human Rights December 2009

December 15, 2009

Ahmed Moustafa the Author

Assem Nosseir My Partner

Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali the President of NCHR on the right and his Vice Ambassador Mokhles Kotb on the left

First of all, I would like to thank and send my deepest regards to all the persons and organizations who involved in, organized and prepared the First and Permanent Forum of Arab-Afro Dialogue on Democracy and Human Rights December 2009 under the title of “Migrations in the Arab-African World” which has been held recently at the Arab League, Cairo, Egypt from 7-9 December 2009.

However, I just want to send very special regard as a gratitude to the National Council for Human Rights of Egypt (NCHR) headed by both of his Excellency Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali the President and the Vice-President of the forum and his Excellency Ambassador Mokhles Kotb the Vice-President of NCHR who invited us to attend such glorious event.

Notwithstanding exceeding the time permitted according to some long speeches of the speakers, the inauguration was amazing according to the attendance of all of their Excellencies Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Mrs. Irina Bokova the Director-General of UNESCO, Mr. Abdou Diouf the Secretary General of La Francophonie and President of the Forum, Mr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour the Head and the Representative of the Egyptian Parliament, Mrs. Aisha Abdel Hadi Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Migration, Mr. Federico Mayor President of the foundation Cultura de Paz – Spain, Mrs. Julia Dolly Joiner Commissioner for Political Affairs, African Union Commission and Mr. Bacre Ndiaye Director, Human Rights Council and Treaties Division Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights respectively.

Frankly speaking, it was one of my dreams to enter the premises of the Arab League here in Egypt as a participant in a big conference like this and being existed side-by-side with several Ambassadors, Parliamentary Members, Commissioners and VIPs exchanging and sharing our thoughts, ideas, opinions, dreams and experiences all together and working for humanitarian utility and prosperity.

Without any doubt, I liked a lot that some impressive sentences from the official opening of such conference especially that focused on sharing the responsibility and the commitment to solve all the global socio-economic, environmental and financial crises, then the active dialogue between cultures and the role of UNESCO in this regard and that the main objective of the UNESCO is the Peace which was stated by her Excellency Mrs. Bokova. In addition, what was added by Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour about the UN Migration Treaty of 1990 that highlighted on that migration is one of the fundamental rights of the human and the rights of migrants and their families.

Moreover, a big question was tackled in such forum, which supposed to be the more deserving matter, the free transit of people or the free transit of goods? Because this is the dilemma that we are facing in this time being.

Accordingly, due to our objective observation of the topics highlighted in the forum as the first one, the following questions shall be tackled:

1)      We should determine evidently the differences among the regular/legal migrant, the illegal/irregular migrant, foreign permanent workers, foreign temporary workers, voluntary migration and forced migration. Because such fundamental concepts shall lead us to a logical and objective methodology of solutions.

2)      Is there a need to establish some more unions e.g. Mediterranean Union 2008 after Barcelona Process 1995 when there are no feasibility so far for having such unions, and the peoples of South are suffering more and more, because most of the rational people found such unions or agreements established only for more security of the southern boundaries of the North. (in this regard please read my blog as follows: https://intellecto.wordpress.com/2008/02/05/dialogue-between-euro-med-region-gulf/ )

3)      Is the latest legislations that issued by European Parliament at the European Union in June 2008 were fair in respect of the irregular or illegal migration in respect of detaining the illegal migrants for at least 18 months,  and then deport and blacklist them from the country of destination for at least 5 years are legal enough. (In this regard please read my blog as follows: https://intellecto.wordpress.com/2008/06/26/detaining-illegal-migrants-is-a-black-scar-in-the-forehead-of-eu/ )

4)      In the matter of entry visa, why any ordinary person from South should wait at least two weeks to obtain his entry visa, even if such person is invited by some governmental or non-governmental corporate to attend a forum or a conference at one of the countries of North/Developed countries? However, if someone from any developed country wish to travel to any country of south, it is very easy for him/her to obtain an entry visa at the airport of the hosting county in a lower duties. Therefore, where is the principle of the reciprocity? (Such matter occurred to me at one of the schingen visa countries).

5)      The issue of human rights specially migration is totally considered as youth issue, therefore, we have to work strongly on two main dimensions, the first is to disseminate the appropriate awareness among the youth in the Arab-Afro region that shall be fulfilled by applying the codes of the Academic Freedom which we have a lag and lack in it (that means freedom in electing University Board, Deans, Heads of Departments and Students’ Unions and making students get exposed to all political orientations in society, in order to grow their conceptual and cognitive awareness. In addition to applying the codes of recruiting university staff according to the latest Human Resources Methods not according to state security requirements).Whereas the second is to disseminate such culture and awareness through media used by such use especially youtube, facebook, hi5, Taking IT Global and Zorbia sites used by billions of youth worldwide through the internet which was very effective in Obama’s success in the latest US presidential elections.

6)      In respect of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance, frankly speaking all the participants found it comprehensive and including all fundamental human rights needed worldwide. However, the big problem here is how to convince all the African political regimes to ratify and implement it, this big problem shall be solved in my point of view according to both awareness as mentioned in the above point and alliance between National Human Rights Councils and Civil Society organizations to be as a pressure group on the African governments under the umbrella and support of the United Nations and UNESCO in this regard though well effective methodology based on all of the logical negotiations, affecting the politics of containment, more privileges and incentives granted and given for countries affecting and implementing the charter by granting states, and also giving guarantees that such implementation of charter shall never negatively affect on sovereign states, cultural privacy and identity thereto.

7)      There is also a big dilemma concerning how to fund such projects of change, human rights implementation, awareness and migration programs, because most of the countries in this Arab-Afro region are developing and having financial crises. Simply, the parliamentary members and heads of National Human Rights Councils and Commissions should implement the codes of the transparency with their governments and monitoring the ways of spending the public funds by their existed governments. Therefore, the governments should publish the real figures of their both military and police expenditures. Also the same bodies should be connected with the national census centers and authorities of accountability in this regard, in order to unify figures and statistics that shall facilitate monitoring and observing the governments. Accordingly, a lot of funds shall be a available for all sustainable development, human rights and migration programs.

8)      Hosting Gulf countries are free to put and promulgate the codes of expatriates residence and working conditions thereof lest occurring to a big change in its demography, because such countries are suffering from less population. However, the governments or municipalities have to monitor the private sector there that violates the labor laws. Also they should cancel the system of Sponsorship/Kafalah, because such system is inconsistent with the codes of the ILO and human rights. In addition, Gulf countries should follow the model of Bahrain in this regard as a unique and respected model.

9)      The Articles of Association of some international organizations should be amended in way that may guarantee fair quotas for developing countries to which they can express themselves and their problems much better especially the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB). Whereas such two bodies have to rethink of their economic reform policies addressed to the developing countries in the light of the Global Financial Recession that originally caused by G7 particularly US. Also better more effective monitoring and controlling tools should be implemented on funds and grants given by such organizations to the developing countries to avoid corruption that can be occurred in between employees or commissioners of such organizations and regimes in such countries and ways and program of expenditure/spending have to be clear and transparent.

Last but not least, hope both my questions and solutions meet your interest in this regard, then being implemented in your action plan and finally to meet and welcome your good-selves in Alexandria ”My City”, Egypt in February 2010.

Kindest regards,

Ahmed Moustafa

Really I feel proud of my self right now after hearing the nomination and selection from the UN side for our Brave Arabic Dialect Poet Ahmed Fouad Negm to be an Ambassador for the Poor People in the Arab Area.

In a delightful ambiance, we have received this news yesterday Aug.29th.2007 from the Egyptian TV Sat Channel Dream2 at the unique hide park program Al 3ashera Masa2an = (10:00 PM), yeah it was late, but it came on a good time, because this man didn’t stay away from the people around, even though he got a lot of financial offers to stop his ironic poetry and he is one of the biggest Arab dialect contemporary poets in this time being, not only that all his political ironic poems are very well know in the Pan Arab Region more than Egypt his own country itself, especially for the younger generation.

Kindly know that this position or this title that bestowed upon him is considered as the second in Africa after the greatest leader and fighter in our continent Africa Mr. Nilson Mandela from South Africa, the last whom our poet appreciate and respect a lot, not only him but all of us do also.

Due to Negm conversation yesterday with the respected fair presenter anchor of the program Mrs Mona Al-Shazly, he declared something very important when she asked him what will you do due to your upcoming duties? So he replied: that the 90% population who represent the poverty in this world should talk to each other first, and prepare the right agenda before talking to the competent bodies, entities or organizations, this point is very important and indicate that this man is a real aware enough and uses some sort of scientific methodology.

Last but not least, we send our deepest congratulations and joy to our poet, and hope that he could achieve things that politicians couldn’t achieve.

Best regards,

Ahmed Moustafa
